Drugs degenerate the psychic behavior. Cocaine in particular leads to suicidal tendencies and suicides. The high quantity of suicides is common with the Rock music singers. It is known the case of Michael Hutchence, who was the leader of the Australian band INKS with one of his most famous hits “Suicide Blonde”. He hanged with a leather belt on the fifth floor of the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Sydney, Australia. Elvis Presley tried to commit suicide several times just till the time he took an overdose of drugs and died of a heart attack. Brian Jones belonging to the Stones band was found floating on his swimming pool during the 1969 summer. This was surely to say that he was victim of an overdose of cocaine.

Jimmy Hendrix died of an overdose of cocaine in a London hotel. Monika Danneman, who was Hendrix’s last sexual partner, also committed suicide with the car fumes in 1996.

Janis Joplin, who was the best white singer of Blues, died of an overdose of cocaine. So did Jim Morrison who was the leader of the Doors and was exiled in Paris.

His wife Pamela Morrison died of an overdose of heroin. Sid Vicius, who was the bass guitar player of the transient Six Pistols, died of an overdose, too. Fredy Mercury died of Aids. Ian Curtis, who was the leader of the English band Joy Division as well as Hutchence, died by hanging themselves.

Kurt Cobain, who was the founder of Grunge and leader of Nirvana which was the favorite band of the young student who died in Santa Marta, shot himself on April 8th, 1994. The lyrics of his last song “I Hate Myself and I Want to Die” are known".

They destroy your self-respect and everything that goes along with your self-esteem”; “Drugs are part of my life. They are as powerful as the devil is” His wife Courtney Love did heroin during her pregnancy. One famous quote of hers is:” Heroin and drugs have always been part of the culture and musical background I live on".

John Bohan, who was a skilful drum player of Led Zeppelin, died choked up with his own vomit.  The drum player Keith Moon of the Who died in 1978. He was victim of a fatal mixture of medicaments and alcohol. David Gahan, who was vocalist of Depeche Mode, had an overdose of drugs but he was relived miraculously. Jonathan Melvoun, who was a keyboardist of the Smashing Pumpkings, died because of heroin. The vocalist Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon died of an overdose of cocaine. The bassist of Hole belonging to Courtey Love band was found dead on a tub surrounded by syringes and drugs.

Rock music has not turned on a century of existence and there are too many dead people. As we see the very members of the Rock bands get out of their minds and then commit suicide with their music and drugs. Suicide or overdoses haunt them all. Rock music with its continuous rhythm, its loud sounds incite to consume pot, cheap cocaine and so on. Trance music, House music, Techno music, Rave music are music characterized to feel rapture. This is an electronic music with louder sounds, without continuation, without rhythm. It is a depressive music. The subliminal stimuli are the most harmful side effects brought about by this music.
