If we want a definite change, it is required that the change happens within ourselves. If we don't change internally, our external life will continue being difficult. It is necessary to set us in control of ourselves if we want to govern the difficulties of our existence. The life of every human being is an eternal way of the cross and each one will ripe what he or she sowed, the result of his or her deeds. Certainly, what is important is the way each person behaves. Some individuals will be drunk, some others sober; some honest and some shameless; there are all kind of people. |

In this way, each person becomes a psychological magnet that attracts whatever he or she has inside. The violent attracts violence; the lusty, scenes, drams and even tragedies of lascivia; the drunk will attract other drunks and will always be in bars, etc. What will attract the usurer? The selfish? How many problems, jail and disgraces? This boring repetition of drams, comedies and tragedies will continue as long as we keep carrying inside ourselves the undesirable elements of ANGER, GREEDY, LUST, ENVY, PRIDE, LAZYNESS, GLOTONY, ETC, ETC. As long as we don't change internally and psychologically, the repetition of all our miseries, scenes, disgraces and misfortunes will continue. All of these external circumstances that occur in the scenario of this world, are the reflection of what we have inside ourselves. With fairness, we can affirm what in some occasion Enmanuel Kant mentioned: "the external is the reflection of the internal". When one changes internally and the change is radical, the external, the life circumstances, change too. Certainly, it is not an easy task to eliminate the negative emotions, to avoid identifying ourselves with our own way of life and with all kind problems: work, debts, payment of bills, mortgages, telephone, water, light, etc. Unemployed people, those that for any reason have lost their jobs, suffer because of lack of money. To forget about their situation, not to worry and not to identify themselves with their own problem is absolutely difficult. Those that suffer and cry, those who have been the victim of some betrayal, of some ingratitude in life, of a fraud, really forget about themselves, about their internal God and identify themselves with their emotional tragedy. A person who is desperate because of an emotional, economic or politic problem, obviously has forgotten about himself or herself. If that person stops for a moment, observes the situation and tries to observe the feelings inside herself or himself, and then makes an effort to comprehend the sense of his or her attitude; if that person reflexionates a bit and thinks that "everything will go", that life is illusory, brief and that death reduces to ashes all worldly vanity. If he or she comprehends that his or her problem, deeply considered is nothing else than a fatuous fire that will soon be extinguished, he or she will see with surprise that everything has changed. In reality, we human beings react mechanically to life circumstances, this convert us in victims. If someone adulates us, we smile; if someone humiliates us, we suffer; if someone insults us, we insult back; we will hurt if we feel hurt. In deed, we will never be free because our neighbors have the power to take us from rejoicing to sadness, from hope to desperation. It is important that we human beings learn the techniques and psychological clues that are taught by the Gnostic wisdom and that will help us to know ourselves and eliminate those internal and hidden forces called "I" or defects. Those internal forces are the ones acting inside us and making us to react mechanically to the diverse circumstances in life. Many people who have learned and practiced these psychological clues have made extraordinary changes that helped them to live better and to know love, love that they will then be able to give to their neighbors. That psychological state that each of us carries is the product of a long and complicated process that we have experienced. A family education, school and social, is the model in which all of us have been formed. It is difficult to get rid of that model if we keep ourselves identified and absorbed in those customs. In the ancient Greek, the prophetesses of Delfos, that used to prophesize to the multitudes in the middle of torches, handed to the seven wise of Greek, one of those being Solon and Tales de Mileto, the maximum motto of wisdom: "Homo Gnose te ipsum" that means: "Hombre, know yourself and you will know the universe and the gods". We will write this again, the problem of the human being pain resides entirely in our defects. Because of our defects, each person is sowing in her or his life pain, suffering, misery, disease; we suffer and we make others suffer, even our own family. But human kind is defenseless. Because of our defects we will sow our own pain: jail, death, violence, split families, etc. Because of a defect like anger, because of something insignificant, spouses fight, children suffer and families split. Human kind finds itself in a dead end street, but Gnosis has opened the doors of spiritual knowledge to free us from pain. In the gospels Saint Paul tells us: "It is required that the old man dies and the new man be born". The old man is all those habits, customs, mechanics, and defects. The new man is the Christ in each one of us. In the Bible, Jesus Christ and the apostles invite us to be born again and to a real transformation. For this reason, if we don't know ourselves and eliminate our defects, all our suffering will be repeated in our next existence. The law of recurrence is one of the 48 laws that govern the human nature. This is a law that is explained in the first chapter of Eclesiastes. |
